in his own words
I became a musician as a natural reaction to my surroundings and a visceral need to communicate. Back at my family home, in Palermo, my father often played the piano, and the instrument quickly became an inseparable companion of mine too.
Together we’ve shared many moments of reflection, frustrations and happiness. My main goal in music, however, goes beyond piano playing. I strongly believe that performances are unique and powerful tools with which the musician can entice all kinds of audiences into the wonderful world of classical music, without them feeling obstructed by any unnecessary barriers. It is also, a treasured occasion to bring forgotten composers to light.
When on stage, I like to present my programs by inviting active and conscious listening, so that classical music can finally enter the hearts of those who have perhaps misinterpreted it in the past, or have felt somehow distanced from it.
Today I continue my studies and research in New York, at the Manhattan School of Music!
