BIOGRAPHY (DOWNLOAD BELOW)

Born in Sicily, Alessio Masi is a young pianist and composer acclaimed for his pianistic eloquence and remarkable interpretative maturity. He graduated from the Manhattan School of Music in New York with highest honors under the guidance of Daniel Epstein and he is the winner of the First Prize at the “Hermès per i Talenti” competition, which awarded him a three-year sponsorship from Hermès Italia and a European concert tour as part of the “H.Y.T.A.” project. He also received a special invitation to the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, where he returns each year as a Visiting Student of the Verbier Festival Academy.

He has performed in some of the most renowned concert halls and theaters, including Klavierhaus in New York, Steinway Hall in London, the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, the Teatro alla Scala Museum in Milan, the Foyer of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Apollinee Halls of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, and the Schimmel Hall in Braunschweig, among many others. He has taken part in numerous piano festivals in Italy and abroad, such as Piano City Milano, Piano City Madrid, Piano City Lisbon, Piano City Palermo, RomaTre Festival, Puccini Festival, Arezzo Youth Music Festival, Musica Riva Festival, and the Orbetello Piano Festival.  As a soloist, he has performed Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto with the Filarmonia Veneta Orchestra and the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina. He has also collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Mayara Magri, Giovanni Andrea Zanon, Marcelo Álvarez, Massimo Cavalletti, Michael Kanan, Roberto Prosseda, and many others.

He is currently supported by the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation in London for his recording projects and has been selected as a solo artist of the Keyboard Charitable Trust. He has given interviews for RAI 1, Radio Svizzera Italiana, Rete Toscana Classica, and Radio In, with national broadcasts of his performances. In 2026, he was featured in an episode of the Dentro le Note on Rai 5, created in collaboration with Roberto Prosseda, entirely dedicated to exploring the piano music of Nino Rota. A solo album devoted to Rota’s piano works, released in collaboration with Brilliant Classics, is scheduled for release in 2027.

He is also collaborating with the American production company PARMA Recordings, with whom he will release his debut album of original music in 2026, a project entirely inspired by and dedicated to his childhood in Sicily.

He earned his Master’s Degree from the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence, where he studied under the guidance of Alessandra Ammara. He previously obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the Conservatorio Alessandro Scarlatti in Palermo, studying with Enza Vernuccio.
